Chief Executive Officer
Joe Lipman has been Summit’s President since the company’s founding in 1986. With a career in travel management spanning nearly four decades, Joe has been the driving force in the company’s evolution into one of the country’s most influential Conference Planning specialists.
Through the development of ONCORR, Summit’s Online Conference Registration and Reporting Software, Joe pioneered the introduction of multiple technological advances in conference planning—stressing the benefit and convenience of “one-stop shopping” for meeting attendees. The proprietary ONCORR system has registered more than 20,000 meeting attendees with the highest levels of accuracy, while facilitating Summit’s staff productivity and providing elevated service levels for registrants.
Joe’s extensive industry contacts, expert negotiating skills and personal involvement in daily operations are legendary throughout the conference planning industry. His personal involvement in daily operations has been a critical factor in Summit’s growth into a $25M+ company.
Joe holds a B.A. degree from Long Island University.
Executive Vice President (Texas Office)
Rob Lipman serves as the company's General Counsel and as Executive Vice President, and heads the company’s Austin, Texas office. Responsible for corporate communications, financial planning, and west coast operations, Rob also maintains a hands-on approach towards daily management of client meetings.
He has over two decades of conference planning experience, and served as a developer for the world's first artificial-intelligence based air-travel software program - System One's Air Planner. . A geography, hotel and confirmed travel aficionado – he has visited more than 85 countries and has a near encyclopedic knowledge of airline routes, applicable fares, and virtually every major metropolitan area. Rob logs more than 150,000 miles of air travel each year.
Rob holds a B.S. degree from The Wharton School of Finance, B.A from the University of Pennsylvania, and received a JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
Executive Vice President (New Jersey Office)
Claudette Pusey is Summit's Vice President of Meeting Services & Operations. As an original member of the Summit Team, she has more than 3 decades of experience in meeting and conference planning.
Claudette began her industry career in New York City, planning meetings of all sizes. She has traveled to more than 50 countries, where she has logged more than 4,000 hotel room nights and 3 million miles of air travel. When clients speak with Claudette about worldwide hotels and venues, they are assured of firsthand knowledge about accommodations, meeting space, and Food & Beverage offerings.
Known and highly regarded for her "tough, but fair" attitude, generous spirit, and upbeat nature, Claudette is the most requested meeting planner throughout the industry. As a result of her exceptional ability with contract negotiations, meeting logistics, and engineering strategic business opportunities clients rely on her expertise.
Claudette and her team continually set the bar of excellence high, therefore hotels and other venues seek her wisdom and knowledge with regard to management and leadership decisions. In addition, Summit's clients return time and time again for that special touch Claudette imbues in every event.
