As vaccination rates accelerate and “Zoom fatigue” becomes more prevalent, we are finding that many of our clients are itching to get back to the next normal of meetings, travel, and incentive trips. However, the post-COVID world we’ll all be getting back to is a lot different than the one we all left behind in March of last year.
One of the good differences is that a lot of the properties that have survived have taken the break from widespread travel to renovate their properties, both to modernize and maximize health and safety.
In response to a recent uptick in requests for 2021 and 2022 live programs, over the next few months, we are excited to be embarking on a rigorous travel schedule of site inspections on behalf of our clients to ensure that they can confidently make their eagerly-anticipated return to face-to-face events.
Our experience over 30 years has uniquely attuned the meeting managers at Summit to scrutinize and report to our clients on all of the little things about a hotel that they can make or break their program. Now, after being certified as Pandemic Compliance Advisors, we have to tools to properly inspect properties for all aspects of COVID protocols including:
Check-In Procedures
Signage
Sleeping and Meeting Room Set-Up
Food & Beverage Prep and Service
Disinfection Supplies and Placement
As some of the first US-based meeting planners to view these new and renovated venues, we’ll utilize our blog to share our firsthand knowledge of these properties as we visit them.
Some of the new and renovated hotels we’ll be inspecting include:
“Test Negative, Stay Positive!”
